The Owatonna Figure Skating Club is a non-profit organization.  Its mission is to promote and provide recreational opportunities in the sport of figure skating in Owatonna and surrounding communities, and seeks to develop individual skater's potential with coaching, leadership and a supportive environment.  The OFSC skates at the Four Seasons Centre in Owatonna, MN.  

We offer group Basic Skills lessons to learn the fundamentals of skating, and for the Moves & Free Skater wanting to learn the advanced art of the sport of Figure Skating, we offer private lessons.

    The Owatonna Figure Skating Club was formed in 1977.  It owes its existence to the many members who have, over the years, contributed countless hours necessary to keep the Club operating. Please consider voluntering your time and talents to the Board and Committees.

What Skaters should Wear:
Skaters should dress in layers.
Hat, Ear Muffs or Head Bands.  Helmets are recommended.  The BELL Multi-Sport Helmet is ice sport approved.
Leggings or Long Johns for legs
No Scarfs or loose clothing.
Jeans are not recommended
Warm Jacket
Gloves are a better choice than mittens as it allows skaters hands to move more freely

Where to Meet for lessons:
Owatonna Four Seasons Arena during September-March
Arrive 15-20 minutes before your class starts to check in and to put on skates.

First day of Class:
Arrive 20 min. before your first class to check in with Director & Rink Parent, find name tag and meet your coach.
All beginner classes will meet off ice for the first few classes.
Parents will need to attend a short Parent Education and Safety Seminar during the skaters first class.  It will be upstairs in the Four Seasons.

Parties:  Throughout the session we hold a party, such as the Halloween Party or Holiday Party.  Details will be emailed out to you.

Testing:
Your skater will be tested the 2nd to the last day of their session.  They must have their USFS test book in order to receive their badge.

Recitals:
Last day of the session skaters participate in a small recital they learn with their class.  There are no costumes to purchase, however, some skaters like to wear previous costumes from the Annual Spring Show just for fun.  There is no charge for the recitals.

Annual Spring Show:
This takes place every spring at the Owatonna Four Seasons in early March.
