"I started skating at Hutchinson Ice Arena at 6 years of age. Throughout my life I have enjoyed skating as a hobby and a competitive sport. I was a member of ISI for twelve years skating through Freestyle level seven. I have competed in many rinks around Minnesota as an individual skater and as part of a synchronized skating team. Synchronized skating was an important part of my experience on ice. At the age of 13 I joined the Hutchinson Junior Precision Team; the Mini Gems followed by the Senior Precision Team the Ice Diamonds. While in high school I coached freestyle levels one through three at Hutchinson Ice Arena. In my college years I continued to skate for fun and exercise. After college I moved to San Diego and continued to skate under my favorite coach and National competitor Clara Hoagland. At the San Diego Ice Arena I also trained with their Adult Synchronized Team. Now I am a member of the United States Figure Skating Association, the Professional Skaters Association and love coaching all levels of skating. Rollerblading, Salsa dancing and surfing (when in San Diego) are some other hobbies I enjoy. I have an Associate Science degree in Dental Hygiene and in my career I enjoy working with and meeting new people each day.  I have a three year old son who is my pride and joy and I feel so blessed to have lots of time to spend with him and watch him grow.
